Renegade Craft Fair Chicago was this past weekend and it was amazing! Unfortunately, Cara couldn't make it because she is the angel in Angels in America at the Ringwald Theatre in Ferndale, MI (if you live in metro Detroit you should definitely go check it out — Cara is fantastic!), so it was just me and my boyfriend, Michael, who came to help out. We stayed in an Airbnb apartment in Wicker Park a short walking distance from the fair, and it was a wonderful experience! It felt like we were living in Chicago for a few days and we didn't want to leave when it was over. Our favorite restaurant that we found was Antique Taco, which has horchata milkshakes. Enough said. And the fair was everything I wanted it to be. I met so many cool people, had a lot of fun and our new art print (top right) was a huge hit! I didn't have much time to explore the fair but I did make sure to go to Yao Cheng's booth, which was the most lovely booth I've ever seen, filled with pillows, tea towels and prints of her beautiful watercolor paintings. I purchased a pillow (bottom right) and an 11x14 print which I can't wait to hang up.
